Each level is scored using a rubric system — 10 specific criteria, each rated 1–5 points. To pass, you need at least 35 out of 50, with no major weaknesses in core skills.

Once you’re ready, record your unedited assignment videos and submit them for a free readiness check.
We’ll review:
- Are all parts included?
- Is your timing, technique, and overall execution solid?
Then you’ll receive:
- ✅ Approved to Proceed → You get a payment link
- ❌ Not Yet Ready → You’ll get helpful guidance (no payment required)
💳 Step 3: Payment & Full Evaluation
Once approved:
You’ll complete the certification payment
Your videos will be fully evaluated and scored using the rubric

If you’re under 18, you’ll need parental consent.
To qualify, you must also be an active member of Djembe Studio, since all assignments and materials are based on the platform’s courses.

Do I need to be a member?
Yes. Certification is only available to active members.
You’ll need access to the specific courses that make up the requirements for each certification level.
What are the fees?
You only pay after your assignment videos are approved in the pre-review stage.
Here are the fees per level:
Beginner Certification — €100
Intermediate Certification — €150
Advanced Certification — €250
Bundle Discount:
If you complete a second certification within 1 year of the first, you get 50% off that level.
Example: Complete Beginner now, and get Intermediate for just €75 if done within a year.
Is this process fully online?
Yes — 100% online and fully remote.
There are no in-person sessions or live evaluations.
You can complete the entire process — from application to final certification — from anywhere in the world, using just a djembe and a camera.

Pre-review typically takes 3 days
After payment, your final evaluation and feedback are delivered within 7–10 days
What if I’m not approved in the pre-review?
You’ll receive specific feedback and can submit again for free.
After that, if more resubmissions are needed, a €15 review fee applies per additional attempt.
This helps maintain a high-quality review process and values the time invested in your growth.
Can I fail after paying?
Very unlikely.
You only pay after your video is approved in pre-review, meaning you’re already showing strong readiness.
If anything minor is missing in the final evaluation, you’ll be allowed to resubmit at no extra cost.
